  Robot/SCHEDULE SAP Interface

Manage your SAP Schedule from your most reliable platform

We have extended the reach of Robot/SCHEDULE to include the users of SAP, the widely used ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) package. That’s great news for the many SAP and existing Robot/SCHEDULE users who requested this feature.

The interface allows Robot/SCHEDULE users to schedule SAP processes on their iSeries systems. Robot/ SCHEDULE also can be used to schedule SAP processes on Windows and UNIX systems.

You can run any SAP process with a Robot/SCHEDULE SAP command. The command returns the status of the SAP process and allows you to determine at each command level if a process ended normally or abnormally. In addition, up to ten SAP processes can be run in a single job.

Run jobs with reactivity to SAP processes
The SAP interface allows non-SAP processes to be dependent on SAP processes. For example, use Robot/CLIENT to FTP data to your server, run the SAP inventory process, and then use Robot/ALERT to e-mail the new inventory listing automatically.

Simplify troubleshooting and SAP output handling
If an SAP process ends abnormally, you can quickly check for SAP error messages on the iSeries by reviewing the OS/400 job log. Use Robot/ALERT to send an e-mail or pager message to your SAP professional to correct the failure and rerun the process.

The Robot/SCHEDULE SAP command allows you to get spooled file output from SAP onto the iSeries output queue. You can view these documents natively and process them through Robot/ REPORTS. Or, use Robot/TRANSFORM, the OS/400 spooled file-to-PDF transformation package, to convert them to PDF files, viewable on any platform. Robot/TRANSFORM preserves electronic forms package graphics, bar codes, company logos, and so on.

New and existing Robot/SCHEDULE users benefit
If you’re a current Robot/SCHEDULE user, you’re accustomed to seeing highly requested enhancements, such as commands to automate Lotus Domino maintenance or the ability to display your entire job schedule on your PC, included in Robot/SCHEDULE. The Robot/ SCHEDULE SAP interface is just one more dream come true.

If you’re new to Robot/SCHEDULE, you’ll enjoy the most comprehensive scheduling package available today. In addition to handling all your SAP scheduling needs, Robot/SCHEDULE features exception scheduling, cross-system reactive jobs, OPAL (OPerator Assistance Language), fiscal calendars, complete job schedule automation, and countless more power scheduling features not available with SAP’s scheduler.
